Metal theft on a rise in Windsor

Did you know that there has been a staggering rise in metal theft in the Royal Borough? The Police have said high street businesses are mostly targeted, which has increased to almost 75% since last year. 

The figures show in 2009/10, recorded thefts in Windsor and Maidenhead was around 321 and in 2010/11, it has soared to 561. 

The Police are running a metal theft reduction campaign called Operation Precious to eradicate this problem.
