Respect or Disrepect the descision is yours "I think"?

Having just listened to George Galloway's comment about Tony Blair's Treasonable actions while Prime Minister. After his historic election victory in the Bradford by-election. It makes one wonder why we don't have more independent MP's and local councillors who have "Respect" for the peoples needs in their wards and constituencies. Here in Windsor we have a band of Dictators, who sit as our LA, who are clearly supported by local independents. All of who ignore the obvious needs of local people who were conned into voting for them. Having been lead to believe they would look after their interests. These councillors having regained their seats in local government then let them down by refusing to support petitions they have been entrusted with. As in the case of the Charles Street bus stop, which I know the leader of the West Windsor councillors worked on. This also applies to the 500 named petition that was passed to the chief executive on the LA by our MP. Asking for a controlled crossing at the Ruddlesway/Maidenhead Road/A308 roundabout for pedestrians, many of who are elderly, so they can walk to local shops or bust stop. I sent this petition to our MP with a request it be passed to the LA because, I knew the councillors of West Windsor would never do this. They had already shown their colours just after the local elections. When at a meeting of representatives of the residents of the Willows, the 3 Ward councillors, the Chairman of West Windsor Residents Association and persons from Highways department in the LA . These 3 ward councillors shouted down any reasonable argument put by myself as Secretary of the Willows Residents Association representing the interests of the Willows Residents. This is not a treasonable action by these councillors like Tony Blairs but it smacks of the same disrespectful regard for the needs of the people. Sadly their appears to be more self interest in all levels of our governing bodies in the UK that is akin to any of the dictatorships in other parts of the world.
