Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council awarded grant for Winter Wellbeing

The Royal Borough Council have succeeded in getting an award

of £54,000 grant from the Department of Health for their Heat and eat – Winter Wellbeing

project. This money will be used to provide training sessions to help

vulnerable people like the elderly during harsh winter times. There will be

electric blanket testing offered in conjunction with the fire service,

information about winter meals and monitoring home temperatures.  The Council will also work with the food bank

and will run sessions in libraries and day centres to offer advice on energy.
