Project manager on the WERR (Windsor and Eton Relief Road) resurfacing work, Craig Bassett, has updated us that there will not be any full-carriageway closures on the Maidenhead Road flyover, as had previously been planned to occur over two weekends.

This is because the project team has succeeded in finding a technical solution that:

* incorporates repairs to the flyover bridges at the same time as the resurfacing of the road

* means the work can be carried out without closing the full width of the road.

The resurfacing of the relief road will start in February. All surfacing works will be conducted at night with contraflow in place. The relief road will retain two lanes each way during the day.

The WERR project is planned to be completed by mid-April.
