'S'No Snow!

The Royal Borough has seen plenty of snow flurries today but has mercifully escaped the worst of the weather.

Nevertheless roads have been affected and things are set to get worse as temperatures drop tonight. Snow is settling in some areas and wet roads could freeze although gritting is abundant on many routes.

So far schools are remaining open but that could change if the weather closes in and teachers struggle to make it in.

Our advice is go carefully. Drive safely and prepare for worse weather. Listen to weather warnings and check back here for advice on whether to brave the roads in the morning, or if advice is to sit tight. We will also post details of any closed schools.
